Ellie Osborn
founded the Little Music Maker business in 2004, influenced by the Powers Music School of Belmont, MA. Ellie was introduced to the violin-cello at age 7 by renowned musicians, Wu Han and David Finkle and studied at the Rennes Conservatory of Music in France. She has a science and teaching degree from Wellesley College and 22 years teaching experience. She's a licensed Maine Guide and co-owner and Head Guide for Venture Outside. She serves on the Board of Trustees for The Portland Symphony Orchestra and teaches beginning cello, guitar, ukulele, piano, recorder, and voice. She has performed with Singer-songwriters, Sorcha, Doug Farrell, Elli Lisa, and with the Choral Art Society Singers. She has shared the stage and harmonized with the late Pete Seeger, and with Dar Williams, Rick Charette, Christine Lavin, Paul Winter, Cid Bullins, Joe Boucher, Samuel James, Jenny Van-West, Sara Hallie Richardson, Brooks Williams, Joe Walsh, and The Portland Symphony Orchestra. Ellie has appeared at Thompson's Point and soloed at Carnegie Hall! She sings on an album of Pete Seeger's called PETE, the charity album To the Moon To the Starsand has recorded several of her own, Ten StepsWarm Milk, Christmas at the Cathedral with Choral Art,  Feel You Better, and Ellie and Friends Live! Her newest record, Glass Half Full, was produced with The Woodshed Mystics. She performs and teaches for Greener Postures Yoga, The Falmouth Country Club, Uno, 2, 3 bilingual daycare, The Jewish Community Alliance, Avita of Stroudwater Senior Care facility, and The Mooring on Foreside. She sings with the bands, The Honeybees, her Dad's band, US4, and a duo with her partner, David Santillo, called "S.O. WHAT". Her son and daughter attend The Breakwater School.
