Ellie Osborn
founded the Little Music Maker business in 2004, influenced by the Powers Music School of Belmont, MA. Ellie was introduced to the violin-cello at age 7 by renowned musicians, Wu Han and David Finkle  and studied at the Rennes Conservatory of Music in France. She has a science and teaching degree from Wellesley College and 20 years teaching experience. She's a licensed Maine Guide and co-owner and Head Guide for Venture Outside with her partner, David Santillo. She serves on the Board of Trustees for The Portland Symphony Orchestra and teaches beginning cello, guitar, ukelele, piano, recorder, harmonica and voice. She has performed with Singer-songwriters, Sorcha, Doug Farrell, Elli Lisa,and with the Choral Art Society Singers. She has shared the stage with the late Pete Seeger, and with Dar Williams, Rick Charette, Christine Lavin, Paul Winter, Cid Bullins, Joe Boucher, Samuel James, Jenny Van-West, Sara Hallie Richardson, Brooks Williams, Joe Walsh, The Portland Symphony Orchestra and appeared at Thompson's Point and soloed at Carnegie Hall! She sings on an album of Pete Seeger's called PETE, the charity album To the Moon To the Starsand has recorded several of her own, Ten StepsWarm Milk, Christmas at the Cathedral with Choral Art,  Feel You Better, and Ellie and Friends Live! Her newest record, Glass Half Full, was produced with The Woodshed Mystics. She performs and teaches for the Friends School of Portland, Uno, 2, 3 bilingual daycare, Roots and Shoots, The Jewish Community Alliance, Avita of Stroudwater Senior Care facility, The Barron Center, and The Childrens' Museum of Maine. Her son and daughter attend The Breakwater School. She and her partner play in the Woodshed Mystics and her all-female bluegrass band is "The Honeybees!"
