Ellie Osborn
founded the Little Music Maker business in 2004, influenced by the Powers Music School of Belmont, MA. Ellie was introduced to the violin-cello at age 7 by renowned musicians, Wu Han and David Finkle  and studied at the Rennes Conservatory of Music in France. She has a science and teaching degree from Wellesley College and 16 years teaching experience. She serves on the Board of Trustees for The Portland Symphony Orchestra and teaches beginning cello, guitar, ukelele, piano, recorder, and voice. She performs with  Singer-songwriters, Elli Lisa, Sorcha, Doug Farrell, and with the Choral Art Society Singers and Camerata. She has performed with the late Pete Seeger, Dar Williams, Rick Charette, Christine Lavin, Paul Winter, Brooks Williams, Joe Walsh, The Portland Symphony Orchestra and appeared at Carnegie Hall as a soloist! She sings on an album of Pete Seeger's, the charity album, To the Moon To the Starsand has recorded three of her own, Ten StepsWarm Milk, produced by Jellyhawk StudiosChristmas at the Cathedral with Choral Art, and her newest project: "Feel You Better", a healing cello and chanting album for Yoga teachers, students and massage therapists, produced by The Studio. She performs for the Friends School of Portland's Stories By The Garden, Uno, 2, 3 bilingual daycare, The Jewish Community Alliance, Peek-a-boo Children's Center and The Childrens' Museum of Maine. Her son and daughter attend The Breakwater School. She plays cello with a "ballady rock band", The Dancing Crickets, and with a Kirtan Band, Swan Kirtan.
